Radiant smiles, an endless spirit of exploration, and the enthusiasm of youth came together to create an inspiring festival day at the HIPPOCRATES IN HIU 2026 program, held on the morning of June 21, 2026, at HIU Hospital.
Amid a lively and energetic atmosphere, hundreds of students, parents, and faculty members immersed themselves in a diverse series of experiential activities, exploring the modern environment of a university hospital.
This was not only an activity connecting the school and its learners, but also an opportunity for the younger generation to gain practical exposure to a training environment closely linked with hands-on practice — one of the core values of the Hospital-University model being implemented by HIU Hospital and Hong Bang International University.
Remarks at the program
PhD candidate, MSc. Tran Thuy Tram Quyen, Vice Rector of Hong Bang International University, shared that this was a special event held in a special space — one that will become a place of learning, practice, and growth for many future generations of health science students. According to her, "A hospital is not only a place to examine and treat patients but also a real-world lecture hall," where medical staff will directly guide students.
Dr. Nguyen Van Minh (Level II Specialist), representative of the HIU Hospital Board of Directors, shared: "Today's special event is an opportunity for the students to learn about the university hospital environment and to better understand the humanistic spirit, responsibility, and pride of those working in healthcare."
A lively atmosphere from the very first moments
The program opened with a group performance themed "For a Healthy Young Generation," performed by outstanding students. The synchronized, energetic movements combined with a youthful, dynamic spirit stirred up the atmosphere of the event, spreading a message about a positive lifestyle, solidarity, and the responsibility of the younger generation toward community health.
More than just a performance, it was also an enthusiastic welcome to all attendees, opening up a memorable journey of experience at HIU Hospital.
Directly exploring the modern university hospital environment
One of the most anticipated activities of the program was the Hospital Tours — a hands-on tour of the hospital's various departments and functional units.
Under the guidance of Dr. Uong Tuyet Nhung (Level II Specialist), Deputy Director of Medical Affairs, together with a team of doctors representing each department, groups of students toured the Outpatient Department, the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Functional Exploration, the Emergency – Intensive Care & Toxicology Department, the Department of General Surgery, the Department of General Internal Medicine – Infectious Diseases, the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, the Department of Rehabilitation – Traditional Medicine, the Laboratory Department, and the Pharmacy.
Through direct sharing from the team of medical experts, students had the opportunity to experience a real working environment, learn about the operating procedures of each specialty, and gain a clearer picture of the career path they are pursuing.
The professional questions and open exchanges between doctors and students helped narrow the gap between theory and practice, bringing valuable and meaningful experiences.
Learning through hands-on experience
Alongside the tour activities, the Station Run competition – Hippocrates in HIU – created an exciting competitive atmosphere with the participation of 100 contestants.
The challenges were designed in a "learning through play" format, requiring participants to apply specialized knowledge, teamwork skills, critical thinking, and situation-handling skills. Not only an academic playground, the competition also helped students build resilience, adaptability, and team spirit — important qualities for future healthcare professionals.
A colorful showcase from the health science department exhibitions
The exhibition area of the health science departments also attracted many students and parents to visit and experience.
Through interactive booths, hands-on activities, specialized games, and interesting gifts, attendees gained a better understanding of the training characteristics of each field of study, such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing – Midwifery, Odonto-Stomatology, Medical Laboratory Science, and Rehabilitation Techniques.
Each booth had its own distinct character, reflecting the unique features of each specialty, while also giving students a more practical perspective on the field they are passionate about.
Spreading healthcare values to the community
Not only did the program create an experiential playground for students, it also paid special attention to parents through initial health check-ups and consultations covering general health examinations and thyroid cancer risk screening.
This activity carries practical significance in raising awareness of proactive healthcare, while also creating an opportunity to directly experience medical services at HIU Hospital.
Concluding the HIPPOCRATES IN HIU 2026 journey were memorable experiences, practical lessons, and a powerful source of inspiration for students pursuing a career in healthcare. The program helped affirm HIU Hospital's role in connecting training with practice, building a modern, professional, and deeply humanistic learning environment for the future healthcare workforce.
