With the goal of early disease detection and improving the quality of life for the community in Ho Chi Minh City, HIU Hospital actively accompanies the health sector in local examination and screening activities.
On April 17, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health officially launched a health check-up and screening campaign for residents across the city - a meaningful activity aimed at gradually realizing the goal of universal health management in the spirit of Resolution 72-NQ/TW.
HIU Hospital is one of more than 100 hospitals partnering with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to implement free health check-up and screening programs at 168 health stations across the city.
On April 15 and 17, 2026, at two locations of the Hiep Binh Ward Health Station, the Hospital coordinated to organize a "Thyroid Cancer Risk Screening" program for residents aged 60 and older in the area.
Working directly alongside the experienced and dedicated team of doctors and medical staff at HIU Hospital, every participating resident received:
A thyroid ultrasound to detect early abnormalities such as thyroid nodules, goiter, etc.
Risk assessment for thyroid cancer, with timely follow-up support.
Direct consultation and guidance for further specialized examination in cases where abnormalities or risk factors are found.
This activity is not just an ordinary check-up, but the beginning of a proactive healthcare journey.
As Ho Chi Minh City moves toward proactive, continuous health management for its large population, screening and check-up activities at grassroots levels are becoming an important link, helping residents access timely and appropriate medical services right in their own communities.
As a direct participant, HIU Hospital focuses on leveraging its professional strengths, coordinating with local health services to implement practical screening programs, contributing to improving the effectiveness of early detection and health monitoring in the community.
