Vietnam Disability Day, observed on April 18 each year, is an occasion for the community to more fully recognize the abilities, roles, and value that people with disabilities contribute to society. This is not only a matter of care, but also an opportunity to work toward a fair living environment where everyone has the conditions to develop appropriately.
2026
In 2026, the theme is: "Promoting the Participation Rights of People with Disabilities – Building a Breakthrough for Development"
The message focuses on expanding opportunities for people with disabilities to actively participate in education, employment, healthcare, and community activities, rather than merely receiving support.
In reality, access to healthcare, education, and essential services still faces many obstacles. These barriers stem not only from infrastructure conditions but also from societal attitudes. As awareness shifts toward respect and solidarity, opportunities for people with disabilities to integrate into society will expand more sustainably.
As a healthcare institution, HIU Hospital always focuses on improving service quality, aiming for a friendly medical environment that makes it easier for people with disabilities to access healthcare in a suitable and safe manner.
In addition, counseling, early intervention, rehabilitation, and support to improve physical health are also important factors that help people with disabilities improve their quality of life and increase their ability to integrate into society.
In observance of Vietnam Disability Day, HIU Hospital, together with the community, spreads understanding, respect, and solidarity, working toward an equal living environment where every individual has the opportunity to develop their abilities and contribute in their own way.
